How To Avoid Being a Robot/Zombie Bogged Down by the So-Called Working Life

There’s only 2 ways in which a normal human being can turn into a lifeless robot thing.

  1. A human dies, then resurrected using dark magic/ uber-advanced science ala cat woman.
  2. A human wakes up, eats, goes to work/go to college/go to school, gets stuck in traffic jam for hours, goes back home, sleep and does it everyday. Preferably for the rest of his/her life.

In case you’re wondering, I’m the 2nd category zombie. I’m tired of it, so I came up with these things which I think is an easy, surefire way to become human again! (Unless you are zombie category one, which cannot be helped even if you follow this diligently. Sorry.)


In traffic jams:
  1. Listen to Fly fm or any favorite radio station. Thank you Pagi Show & Rush Hour. I love you guys. Malaysia has the third highest number of .............WHAT???? Prize money is now up to RM 4400. It's driving me crazey okayy!
  2. Sing out loud to the songs you’re listening to. Ignore the cars bypassing you and ignore the stares from the people in those cars. This is the time to practice your karaoke so that next time you go for karaoke, you won't suck as much.


At work/college/school:

  1. Smile at everyone you have eye contact with. Otherwise it’s ok to be a robot here. Just stay out of trouble. I’m not about to tell people to sing out loud in the class/office or start throwing papers around or putting whoopie cushions on other’s seats.( Dunno if they got those things in this country?)


At home:

  1. Have enough sleep. This is my everyday motto.
  2. Watch your favorite comedy/cartoon series and laugh out loud at the jokes. Better yet, imitate them with exaggerated voices. (Word of caution: Don’t do this in front of parents or you’ll lose whatever little credibility you got especially if you’re the eldest in the family.)

Out and About:

  1. Look at colorful things. Better if they can be eaten.

2. Do something you like. And do it at least once a week. This is because, when things get too out of hand, at least there' s something to look forward to every week. For example, scrapbooking or cooking or swimming or kickboxing. Whatever rocks your boat, as long as it's relaxing.



So there you have it, ways to become human. Take note, especially those cupcakes. Yummilicious. Try them out, and tell me how it goes. They worked for me so there's no reason why they shouldn't work for you. Till then, Zai Jian! (translated: see ya soon!)

i sang out loud from work today. coz the songs playing on the radio werent the ones i liked and my singing sounds a lot better. lolz.
